Continuing the Dialog: The State of Photography II Exhibition
From October 2 to November 13, 2020, my work was featured in the "Continuing the Dialog: The State of Photography II" exhibition at the Arts Center Gallery, Nazareth College. This invitational exhibition showcased the work of 29 photography artists and educators from upstate New York, demonstrating the broad and expansive nature of contemporary photography. The inclusion of my work in this prestigious exhibition underscores its significance and relevance within the field.
The exhibition provided a platform for diverse voices, highlighting the current state of photography and fostering important dialogues about the medium. Despite the challenges posed by COVID-19, the exhibition remained accessible to the Nazareth community, allowing students, faculty, and local art enthusiasts to engage with the displayed works. This engagement was crucial in maintaining an active dialogue within the photography community and provided a valuable opportunity for viewers to experience a wide range of photographic practices and themes.
Documented through photographs and comprehensive records, the exhibition contributed significantly to the discourse on contemporary photography. The curated selection of works and the peer review inherent in an invitational exhibition underscored the scholarly and creative contributions of the participating artists. This event highlighted the dynamic and evolving nature of the field, reinforcing my role in advancing critical discussions on photography's impact and relevance in contemporary art.
